Yashima Mountaintop Facility（a.k.a Yashimāru）
This approx. 200-meter-long corridor-shaped building, a work of art built for the Setouchi Triennale 2022, has a sense of openness thanks to the glass walls that extend along all sides.
On the observatory deck, visitors can enjoy a spectacular panoramic view of Takamatsu’s city center and the many beautiful islands of the Seto Inland Sea.
The facility also houses Japan’s only large-scale panoramic painting, a rare and valuable painting inspired by the Battle of Yashima during the Genpei War (admission fee required, reservation possible).
